MiDi BITCH – Midsummer Night’s Dream [Victory Over the Sun]

Sommernachtstraum was born out of a single astronomical moment: the summer solstice – the longest day of the year, when the sun reaches its highest point before yielding again to the coming night.
For MiDi BITCH, this turning point became a metaphor for cycles of expansion and release, clarity and dissolution, ascent and return.

The six tracks on this album were first composed for a live performance at the Electronic Circus Summer Edition 2025. They weave modular synth structures, dark-ambient textures, and subtle rhythmic pulses into a continuous arc – a sonic ritual marking the shift from radiance into shadow.

Across the set, bright harmonic strands slowly fracture into drones, pulses stretch into stillness, and field-like tones shimmer like heat above deep resonant bass. The music traces the solstice’s symbolic “victory over the sun”: the moment when light peaks and begins to retreat, opening the door to night, mystery, and inner reflection.

More than a collection of tracks, Sommernachtstraum is an invitation to linger at the threshold – to follow sound as it guides us from the blaze of daylight into the slow-growing dark.
