MiDi BiTCH // RAVE ANGST – heart // burst

Knowing each other since the 1980s. Sharing a lot of crazy moments and memories of the decade between Punk-Grunge-HipHop-Techno. Hanging around at lost places, smoking, boozing, skating. Used to play in a guitar-core band named „Gnorp“. First steps in the electronic genre with an Amiga 500 computer and a Roland S50 at the beginnig of the 1990s. Seen so many legendary Acts from all kind of genres together. Too much to count. In these old times, when underground still was underground and nobody cares than us.
Get lost and found again 25 years later. No suprise that they digging in similar directions and still share their passion for essential music to free their mind in the hope that their asses will follow.

MiDi BiTCH / Rave Angst – Heart / Burst

Hmm, verstehe ich das richtig? Dieses Album, welches Fredy Engel aka MiDi BiTCH und Rave Angst (Alexander Potthoff) erst nach 25 Jahren fertig gestellt haben??
Naja, egal – „Gut Ding will Weile haben“ sagt man so schön. Alleine beim Opener „Heart 1“ geht schon ganz gut die Post ab. Für mich wäre alleine schon dieser Titel ein Argument gewesen, mir dieses Album zu gönnen. Was danach kommt, Überrascht mich schon ein wenig. Nicht das es schlechter wird, absolut nicht. Es wird irgendwie seichter. Ich meine irgendwie Postrock-ähnliche Sounds zu hören….
Später, wenn der Part von „Rave Angst“ ins Geschehen eingreift, wird es für einen kurzen Moment etwas düster und mystisch, ohne das irgendein Bruch zu spüren ist. Es bleibt alles recht durchgängig. Fragen bleiben aber irgendwie dennoch offen, da ich dieses Album nicht so richtig einordnen kann.
Wichtig ist nur, das mir die Musik gut gefällt….

Auch dieses Album aus Bielefeld und Osnabrück bereichert meinen musikalischen Horizont. Allgemein gibt es für mich bei MiDi BiTCH recht viel zu entdecken, was wirklich viel Spass macht! Ich bin richtig gespannt, wie es hier weitergeht…
