Fredy Engel, Jahrgang 1966, geboren in der damaligen BRD, Künstlerkind, Sohn Berliner Auswanderer, Musiker, Sounddesigner und Komponist.

Der zwischenzeitliche Keyboarder der Osnabrücker Triphop, Post-Kraut-Rock, Synthpop-Band SANKT OTTEN ist seit 1995 als Solokünstler unter dem Namen MiDi BiTCH aktiv.

Er hat sich mittlerweile überwiegend der sequentiellen, Kosmischen Musik mit Einflüssen klassischer Berliner Schule, Krautrock, Dark Ambient und Space-Dub verschrieben.

Das aktuelle Album zeichnet eine düstere Zukunfstvision, deren Basis repetitive Arp-Sequenzen, sphärische String-Flächen und dezente polyrhythmischen Patterns bilden. Reverb und Delay-Räume verbinden dieses Konglomerat der Retrospektiven-Synthesizer Landschaften wie Pech und Schwefel.

Das Album setzt die Erkundung der endlosen Möglichkeiten fort, die ein Genre mit einem vermeintlich begrenzten Vokabular bietet.
